Service Description

Culture IQ Mastery for Leaders: Maximize Performance in Any Environment. For Cohorts of 20 Leaders. This course gives leaders a powerful framework of knowledge and skills that equips them to build a collaborative and innovative team in any environment. Dale Carnegie famously said that dealing with people is probably the biggest problem we face in business. It takes all kinds to make a world, not to mention a successful team: numerous studies point to the value of diverse ways of thinking on teams. At the same time, birds of a feather flock together -- we tend to prefer working and associating with people who are like us. In organizations and on teams, this inherent bias towards affinity creates groupthink and stagnation. Leaders who are deliberate about tackling this contradiction between the need for differences and the tendency to gravitate towards sameness tend to be more successful at enabling their teams to achieve ambitious goals. Leaders can tackle the contradiction by developing and applying cultural intelligence, a set of knowledge and skills that enable us to navigate and bridge different attitudes, perspectives, and experiences. Culturally intelligent leaders are skilled at creating an environment in which everyone feels excited to contribute. In this program, leaders will team up with a co-explorer on a journey of self-discovery and community along with exponential skills enhancement. The multi-faceted program includes an assessment and personalized development plan for every participant, self-paced individual learning, small group discussions, and live meetings with Highrise Vista. A certification upon completion facilitates integration of the course into leadership development initiatives or performance metrics. The Culture IQ Certification will be provided upon completion of: *Intercultural Development Inventory (with Individual Results and Intercultural Development Plan, delivered via 1-hour live coaching session) *Four 20-minute self-paced online courses *Five 1-hour discussions with a learning partner *Time spent in reflection and sharing in an online forum with the cohort (10 pairs of learning partners from the same or different organizations) *Four 1-hour facilitated learning sessions with Highrise Vista *Completion of a 10-hour Professional Practicum project designed by each learner to apply concepts learned and discussed during the modules and sessions

COHORTS: This course is delivered to a cohort of up to 20 managers from a single organization or multiple organizations. LEARNING OBJECTIVES & JOURNEY: The course is designed to upskill leaders in applied intercultural competence, i.e., leveraging the skill of shifting perspective and adapting behavior to bridge human differences in the workplace, with the goal of creating more engagement and collaboration on their teams. Leaders will undertake a series of learning experiences as follows: experiential learning resulting from being paired with a peer who is from a different background or community; independent learning from completing 5 online course modules of 20 minutes each; and collective learning from participating in a discussion forum related to the lessons and by attending facilitated group sessions with Highrise Vista. The learning objectives for the Culture IQ Certification program are: increased capacity to leverage unique strengths of team members, improved ability to communicate and facilitate conflict, increased clarity about how to drive specific values and behaviors that support organizational goals, and specific tools and approaches for increasing engagement and collaboration. The learning journey consists of one three-hour facilitated meeting led by Dr. Nodarse of Highrise Vista and 5 online modules for learners to complete independently before engaging in a discussion with their learning partner. Individual learners will spend 20-30 minutes on each module independently before meeting with their partner for a one-hour discussion and contributing to an online discussion forum. The cohort will meet as a group to kick off the program, check in at midpoint, and wrap up at the end. Highrise Vista provides all learning materials (course modules, discussion guides, and worksheets). We encourage our clients to use internal discussion forums (e.g., Teams or Slack channels) , however, Highrise Vista is also able to provide a forum (at an additional cost). Group interactivity is a critical component of the learning in this program, since participants often learn as much from their peers as they do from the instructor & materials. FEES: The cost of participation in the program is $17,500 per cohort of 20 or $875 per person. We would be happy to negotiate pricing for multiple cohorts, licensing, and global delivery.
